Since the earliest times landscapes have been a source of inspiration for artists and makers. Today’s practitioners have inherited this love of landscape, but while some take a traditional approach, others explore the subject in increasingly imaginative ways.
Some artists choose to recreate the experience of being in a landscape, or visualise dream lands. Others use materials to represent natural elements, like earth, air, fire, and water. The results can be unexpected, but can be a fascinating illustration of the power of imagination.
