Sculpture Court - Look of Love

Sculpture Court - Look of LoveCollection Gallery

What does love look Iike to you?

Is it a couple exchanging vows on their wedding day or an emotional farewell on a railway station platform? Or perhaps it’s a simple reassuring glance or squeeze of a hand? The sculptures displayed here cover almost 300 years of making. They are made from different materials and demonstrate a variety of techniques, but all are united by the themes of love and affection.

There are sculptures that tell stories of unrequited love, whilst others explore the concept of being loved. Some are inspired by real-life affection and others by fictional themes. What feelings or connections do they evoke for you?
