General History:
Built for the London to Baltic Trade and registered in Copenhagen. The first steamer to be built with the 'Aberdeen Bow'. Consort to JUNO, built 1851.
13/11/1845: Arrived at Aberdeen from Aalborg. Sletting, master.
26/11/1845: Lying at Waterloo Quay awaiting overhaul and new boilers.
15/03/1846: Sailed from Aberdeen for Copenhagen. Slatting, master.

19/10/1848:
7 Oct, Elsinore - IRIS, steamer, while in Roadstead was hit by BONA FIDE in tow of AIGLE steamer. Both IRIS and BONA FIDE believed damaged.

21/04/1848:
DENMARK AND HOLSTEIN. The Copenhagen papers of the 11th inst. contain some accounts of the late actions between the Danes and Holsteiners [the First Schleswig War], in the neighborhood of Flensburg. The loss of tbe Danes stated to have amounted about 100 men. The total number made prisoners, amounts to 714. of whom 121 were conveyed to Copenhagen by steamer IRIS, and were to be placed board an old line-of-battle ship.

Copenhagen, 18 March - IRIS, steamer, Aarhus (Jutland) - Copenhagen, is on shore on Jutlands reef, but is expected off at high water. The UFFO steamer has been sent to his assistance.
