General History:
18/10/1913: Launched. Named by Miss Mearns, daughter of James Mearns, chairman of the owners.
03/08/1914: One of the first three trawlers to leave Aberdeen as requisitioned warships with R.N.R. crews. Sailed for Queensferry.
1928-38: Recorded as line fishing.
27/09/1930: Towed the disabled schooner CARBID into Aberdeen.
21/11/1931: Deckhand F. Olley washed overboard by heavy sea, but caught by skipper Jack Griffiths and heaved back aboard.
28/11/1948: Towed into Aberdeen by FRVIE BRAES with trawl around propeller.
10/1959: The BUCHANS. skipper Bill McLeman lost its gear while fishing, two days later the BROCONLYNN, skippered by his son, recovered it.
16/03/1960: Arrived at Rotterdam under tow by the tug LOIRE, for demolition.
