Description: Trawler, side, steam, screw, steel. With raised quarter deck 9” height to foreside of winch. Single geared winch, 1000 fathoms each barrel. Acetylene gas lighting. Spare propeller. Fish and ice rooms insulated with cork. 2 Lamont pumps.

20/02/1918: Owners Henry Smethurst, Henry Carl Smethurst, John Wint Smethurst and William Wint Smethurst, Grimsby. Registered at Grimsby, GY630.
1919: Returned to owners, Trawlers (White Sea & Grimsby) Ltd, Grimsby.
11/1939: Requisitioned and designated as an armed patrol vessel. Returned to owners, February 1940.
08/1942: Owners Hull Merchants Amalgamated Trawlers Ltd, Hull. Registered at Hull, H528.
1944: George Robb & Sons Ltd, Aberdeen.
1947: Registered in Aberdeen, as VIKING ENDEAVOUR, A616.
1955-56: class withdrawn.

General History:
20/11/1913: Launched. Named by Mrs Scullion, Aberdeen after the Tasmanian name for a wedge tailed sea eagle.
03/1917: Renamed NAIRANA II to free name for a seaplane carrier under construction.
03/02/1940: Attacked by enemy aircraft, bombs and gunfire.
07/09/1941: Damaged by German bombing seven to eight miles off Myggenaes, Faroes.
