General History:
27/05/1914: Launched in a quadruple launch with sisters Yard No. 541, STRATHMARTIN, Yard No. 542, STRATHMAREE and Yard No. 544, STRATHBRIE.
1915: After requisitioning, based at Malta.
11/10/1929: Rescued 5 of the crew of the Faroese schooner MARTA, lost due to engineroom fire. Skipper lost and cook recovered dead.
04/11/1929: Shipwrecked Mariners Society awarded George Summers, skipper, and crew of the STRATHUGIE, silver medals and other awards.
23/12/1929: Ashore at Rerwick Head, Tankerness. Came off and towed to Aberdeen by the Leith tug, BULLGER.
