About MeAn artist's book containing twenty prints by seven Scottish artists illustrating the writing in poetry and prose of George Mackay Brown.

Whilst in his final year at university Charles Booth-Clibborn invited the Orkney born writer George Mackay Brown to produce texts, in the form of poetry and prose, to accompany twenty prints by Scottish artists depicting nineteen animals - both real and mythological.

The book was printed at Peacock Printmakers in Aberdeen and published in 1986 by Charles Booth-Clibborn under his imprint The Paragon Press in a book edition of 60 and a portfolio edition of 50.

Peter Howson
Born London 1958. Moved to Scotland 1962. Studied at Glasgow School of Art 1975-77 and 1979-81. Artist in Residence St Andrews University,1985. Official war artist, Bosnia,1994. Solo exhibitions include Angela Flowers Gallery( And Flowers East), London 1987 to present; major retrospective at McLellan Galleries, Glasgow,1993 and Imperial War Museum, London, 1994.

Adrian Wiszniewski
Born Glasgow 1958. Studied at Mackintosh School of Architecture 1975-79 and Glasgow School of Art 1979-83. Artist in Residence at Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, 1986-87. Solo exhibitions include Air Gallery, London, 1984; Galerie F17, Ghent,1989; Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh, 1990; and Rex Irwin Gallery, Sydney, Australia, 1995. Lives near Glasgow.
