George Mackie is the former head of the Department of Design and Crafts at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen. His paintings and sketches illustrate the development of Aberdeen has it changed from a fishing and shipbuilding port to the centre for offshore oil exploration in the 1970s and early 1980s.
