About MeThis clippings book is one of a pair. It was started in 1942 when Powis House was first opened as a Community Centre. It was the first such Centre in Aberdeen and probably in Scotland.

The clippings show how the Centre was viewed as an exciting social experiment that was enthusiastically taken up. the photographs show many events such as picnics, Burns Suppers, sporting activities and drama.

We do not know who lovingly put together these clippings but it was probably one of the members' committee.
