About MeQuentin Blake is an English cartoonist, illustrator and children's author, who is especially well known for his collaborations with the children's writer Roald Dahl.

This sketch was made by Blake to serve as a poster image for his exhibition at Aberdeen Art Gallery in 2004. A jaunty self portrait it shows Blake clutching a sheaf of drawings and wearing, appropriately for the venue, a tartan scarf.
