About MeThe continent 'Europe' was named after Europa, a figure from Greek mythology. She was abducted by Zeus, King of the Gods, after he disguised himself as a tame white bull. After reaching out to touch his flanks, she got onto his back, and he kidnapped her, taking her away to the island of Crete. According to myth, the constellation of Taurus was created by Zeus in the image of that same bull. One of their sons was Minos, King of Crete, who demanded Athenian boys and girls to be sacrificed to the Minotaur of the Labyrinth.
