About MeMost of the men in this photograph have stopped work to look at the photographer. Around them are examples of their work in various stages of manufacture. The rectangular stone with gently angled upper edges at the front of the picture is probably the base for a memorial.

Covered but open sheds like this were common in granite yards at this time.
