About MeJames and Marguerite always admired the dramatic position and picturesque streets of the Portuguese fishing town of Arzila, which lies on the Atlantic coast south west of Tangier. They considered buying a house there before they spotted "Jalobey", their first house in Morocco.

Today Arzila has a thriving artistic community and an annual arts festival.

More About Me
A typical McBey sketch of the Portuguese fishing village - now a thriving artist community, 75 years later.
