About MeThis rapid sketch evokes an atmospheric Moroccan street, in which the architecture is the centre of focus. McBey was greatly interested in Moroccan building techniques, much of which was done by hand. When he extended the house he bought in Tangier, 'El Foolk', McBey made sure that it was renovated in the traditional manner.
More About Me
The word "bazaar" comes from Persian and has influenced words for urban marketplaces from South-East Asia to North Africa. Bazaar scenes were popular with artists who spent time in such places.
