About MeA sculpture or advertisement depicting two children, a boy and a girl, eating ice cream, displayed at the Rendezvous Cafe, Aberdeen during the 1930s.

The sculptured figures are made of a base material, type uncertain, but probably plaster or a similar material cast into moulds as opposed to freely modelled. The figures are attached to a papier-mâché and card base (painted green) with fixings including wooden battens. The base may not be original to the figures.

The figures are standing with their heads very close together. The girl is blond with a polka dot bow in her hair, wearing a pink dress with pale blue collar and bow at the waist and she is holding a chocolate covered block of ice cream. The boy is dark haired and wearing a red shirt with blue collar and blue shorts and he has an ice cream cone.

The figures are painted with a fairly thick layer of paint which is flaking in places. Close examination reveals layers of new paint over what appear to be original layers. The current colours may not be original, but, as shown by fading particularly of the girl's hair, have been in place for many years.

Conservation work has consolidated much of the paintwork.
