SOCIETY IS THE CURE FOR PRIDE, AND SOLITUDE FRO VANITY.
H. de Sechelles
Sited betweem a grove of pine trees and
a broad lake, the proposed bench bears
an inscription intended to lay emphasis on the idea of seclusion. Whereas a
conventional artwork exists as an
independent object, the environmental
or garden artwork is incomplete,
perhaps even incomprehensible, apart
from its surroundings.
