About MeW15AM 'Westminster' Radio Telephone Base Station contained within a metal box with a carrying handle. The box is finished in a blue-grey textured acrylic paint. A plastic olive green mouthpiece is attached by a coiled wire to the front of the box next to the volume, squelch, channel and on/off knobs. Protuding vertically from the box is an aerial, encased in rubber.

First introduced in 1967, the Westminster was claimed to be the world's first all-semiconductor PMR mobile. More than 120,000 were produced.
