About MeWooden block with a circular copper half tone plate. The plate is very tarnished and it is unclear what it depicts, apart from a circular wreath or leaf scroll around the edge and some text (illegible) in the centre. Reference to a larger line block version of this plate (see ABDMS086338.12) tells us that this plate depicts the following text around the edge: "To Wm. McKinnon & Co. Ltd. for their Coffee, Sugar, Rice, Cacao and other Tropical Agricultural Machinery". Horizontal in the centre of the plate is the following text: "Exposition Internationale du Caoutchouc" ("International Exhibition of Rubber". (Caoutchouc is also known as India rubber, natural rubber or gum elastic.)
