About MeTurquoise and ivory silk carriage parasol with a faux animal horn handle and a cane and metal shaft.

As pale skin was fashionable during the late 19th and early 20th century, small parasols made from silk were very popular during this period and were specifically used by ladies riding in carriages. This example features a rather unusual solid handle shaped like a chain.
