About MeBrown manila envelope with the slogan "There is one law for the region and none for the poor" on the front. Another slogan, "Top people take our artworks" is stamped on the back. The recipient's address is handwritten in pen by Ian Hamilton Finlay and the envelope has a 23p stamp. The envelope is stamped and dated 21 April 1983.The name of the press: "THE WILD HAWTHORN PRESS. STONYPATH, DUNSYRE, LANARK, SCOTLAND," is also stamped on the back of the envelope.
This envelope is part of an archive that belonged to Joyce Laing OBE. The artist, Ian Hamilton Finlay, was a personal friend of the donor.
