About MeBoy's sporran. The oval leather pouch opens through a slit with inserts near the top, and is attached to a white metal pentangular mock clasp with domed knob at top. Below this is a garnet coloured stone above a shaped leather insert. The surrounding metal is decorated with punched designs. From this are suspended two 'tassels' of black horse hair with metal attachments, surrounded by long swathes of white horsehair. A leather belt with buckle slots through a belt loop at the top of the pouch, which is lined with coarse beige flax.1880s
