About MeNewspaper extract related to Scottish Maid (101) schooner of 142 tons built in 1839, and the first vessel to posses the raked stem known as the 'Aberdeen bow.' It comes in the form of a typed sheet recalling an article in the Aberdeen Journal from Wednesday January 17 1844. The article explains the Scottish Maid was moored by the Newcastle Quay. It also gives information about contracts that have been drawn up to build three clippers to be put on the passage between Arbroath and London.
