About MeBooklet by Joyce Laing, probably made for Ian Hamilton Finlay to commemorate the removal of artworks from Little Sparta during the ongoing dispute between the artist and Strathclyde Regional Council. The booklet is backed with black card and the title is applied on the front with gold transfers. Inside there are small ink drawings and gouache paintings of garden herbs with handwritten quotes about the herbs on the facing pages. On the back page the booklet is inscribed: "remembrance and love, Joyce".This work is part of an archive that belonged to Joyce Laing, OBE. The artist, Ian Hamilton Finlay, was a personal friend and sent her an example of each new poem print and multiple as it was made.
