About MeLoose leaf of acetate in brown paper folder co-designed by Ian Hamilton Finlay and John R Nash, published by the Wild Hawthorn Press. The back inside cover of the folder has the title printed on it - das gepflügte Land . the fluted land - and a loose leaf of semi-opaque acetate is placed on top with the publication detail and the following subtitle:A permissible (mis)translation expands the suggestiveness of the German and evokes a range of associations with classical Antiquity.
This work is part of an archive that belonged to Joyce Laing, OBE. The artist, Ian Hamilton Finlay, was a personal friend and sent her an example of each new poem, print and multiple as it was made.
