About MeLithograph printed two-sided: on one side is the art work "Bicentenary Tricolour" co-designed by Ian Hamilton Finlay and Gary Hincks; on the other is the sheet music for "Two Flutes for St. Just" composed by Peter Davidson in 1976 and a private view invitation to "Bicentenary Celebrations" on 30 July 1989, 2-5pm. The art work features the French national flag with the words ''LIBERTY FOR SOME'', ''EQUALITY FOR SOME'' and ''FRATERNITY WITH SOME'' in the blue, white and red vertical bands, respectively. The sheet music is handwritten onto staff paper and is a flute duet to be performed the opening of the exhibition. The exhibition ran from 31 July to 14 August at the Kellie Lodging Gallery, Pittenweem. It featured the work of Finlay, Keith Brookwell and others and was organised by Joyce Laing, the donor of this archive. The paper is folded into quarters so that "Bicentenary Tricolour" appears on one side when unfolded; the invitation and details of the exhibition appear on one folded quarter and the sheet music on another.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Joyce Laing, OBE. The artist, Ian Hamilton Finlay, was a personal friend and sent her an example of each new poem print and multiple as it was made.
