About MeBlack and white landscape photograph of the dunter and two workmen at Excelsior Granite Works.

The photograph is taken from inside the shed, along its length and out into the yard. A large piece of rectangular granite is on a truck underneath the dunter. The mast for the dunter is on the right with the arm out over the stone and a bush chisel fitted to the machine. A tube for compressed air extends out to the top of the mast. An oval maker's plate is visible on the mast and appears to read "ABERDEEN" but the name is not visible. The roof of the shed immediately above the dunter is open.

The rails for the truck extend out into the yard on the left of the image. The crane and piles of stone are visible outside but the image appears over exposed. One man (apron to the waist, white shirt, waistcoat, and cap) is standing leaning on the dunter and one man (trousers, shirt, waistcoat with watch chain and cap) is standing in the yard.
