About MeOne of 99 drawings on 92 leaves of paper from a sketchbook used by William Williams.

Recto: This is a factory scene with a village in the middle distance. On the sheet of the scrap book to which this is pasted,an inscription has been written in a similar hand to the title at beginning of the scrap book " The Village of Mytha in Glamorganshire with the ironworks of Edward Bacon Esq" .

See number 71 (ABDAG017696) which is a tone study for part of this.

Verso: This title is written in pencil on the verso where there is also a pencil sketch of a works in a valley.

This drawing, along with 46 other leaves from the same sketchbook, is now untraced. Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums is keen to reunite the drawings as one album. If you have any information relating to the current whereabouts of this work please contact Aberdeen Art Gallery.
