About MeBlack and white photograph of three men planting on Cherifian Rocks; land which was purchased alongside Jalobey, one of James and Marguerite McBey's homes in Tangier, Morocco. James and Marguerite named the land Cherifian Rocks, because it formed part of the old Cherif's estate. An annotation on the reverse of the photograph identifies the three men as Shail, M. and Scowie.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this photograph.
