Dated 28 January 1921, the Tenth Anniversary of the Scots Club of London featured a Burns Night dinner, with special guest Sir Henry Lauder, and chaired by William Blackwood. The notice listed how, over the past decade, the following "distinguished" men have been "entertained":

The club was initially for Scottish-born journalists working in London. Founded 30 January 1911, it held regular meetings and invited a number of Scots prominent in politics, the law, entertainment and the arts, as guests.


This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this notice.
