About MeStand-in copy of James McBey's United States Immigration Identification Card No. 1161639. This card has none of the official signatures and instead the most basic details required are typewritten, a photograph would have originally accompanied it too. Along with this is the explanation; "9 September, 1941 Sidney Krauss says this is with my naturalization papers at Washington."

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this identification card.
