About MePostcard from Margot Murray to James McBey, sent from Salzburg and postmarked 15 August 1930. The postcard reads;

"August 14. This is one of the most enchanting cities that ever were. No P.Cs (postcards) or photographs can quite give you any impression of it. Von sent a P.C from Munich, but now wonders if she posted it or not? We crossed the frontier yesterday evening and arrived here late in drenching rain, which has continued ever since. Surrounded by snow capped mountains, music maniacs, amusing attractions. This is the place for you! Much love from all, Margot."

The postcard was originally kept within ABDAG008357.14, which is labelled "Margot Wedding."

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this postcard.
