About MeJuly / August 1983 issue of Aberdeen Leopard "the magazine for North and East of Scotland." Page 14 has an article titled "A Timeless Artist", printed in honour of the centenary of James McBey's birth. In the article Ann Tweedie discusses McBey's work and his standing in the art world today, while Don Wells introduces "McBey the Man."The page opposite also has an advert for the, then newly opened, suite of rooms, opened in honour of James McBey at the Aberdeen Conference Centre, Foveran House. The rooms were called "The James McBey Suite" and contained many of McBey's etchings.
This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this publication.
