About MeThis medieval oak paddle was probably used for propelling a small boat or currach. Originally it had a T-shaped handle, part of which is now broken.

Many shells and fish bones have been found on archaeological sites in the city.

This shows that medieval Aberdonians would have eaten lots of fish, from both the sea and from rivers.
