About MeVictorian chemist scales made by Becker's Sons of Rotterdam, Netherlands. Brass scales are housed inside a glass case with glazed mahogany frame and pull out drawer with brass knob. Sliding window on front for accessing scales pulls upwards by a small ivory knob. An ivory plate on base of scales reads: Becker's Sons Rotterdam in black capital script lettering. Scales include 2 brass weight platforms. Contained in the drawer are several metric marked weights: 9 cylindrical brass (most marked), 4 squared metal (all marked), 2 brass hooks and 1 long metal stick like device.
