Dear Miss Phillips

I am very glad to hear that the correspondence still goes on. We think that the
Aberdeen affair was a very great success.

As to the use of the word outlawing can the critics suggest a better? If so we might consider the question of substituting the better word. Our position is the nearest approach to outlawing now existing. We want to use the most suitable word however so await suggestions.

With best wishes for the New Year

Yours very sincerely

Christabel Pankhurst
More About Me

The first anthem of the Women's Social and Political Union was based on "La Marseillaise", but Dame Ethyl Smyth composed "The March of the Women" to replace it.
