About MeThe jumper is used for boring holes or "jumping". The hardened cutting edges (probably tungsten) are proud of the tool and the tool is turned as it cuts, to create a circular hole. Lubricant and coolant pass through the centre of the tool and emerge at two outlets at the cutting head.
