Fate: Wrecked at Seaton, Northumberland, 12 December 1830.

Description: Brig rigged, 1 deck with beams, sheathed with copper, iron knees.

Owners:
1814-22: 'Aberdeen' (this likely means a syndicate of Aberdeen shareholders with no individual holding a large share)
1823: W. Towers
1824-33: J. Grant (see note re: dating)

Masters:
1814-24: Master Thompson (in 1815-16 there is Aberdeen written here, but it seems likely this is a typesetting error confusing with the owning syndicate)
1824-27: Master J. Grant
1828-33: Master A. Murdoch

Voyages (Lloyd's underwriters):
1815-16: London - West Indies
1818-19: London - Malta
1822-24: Belfast - San Andres (Colombia)
1825-26: London
1827: London - Memel (now Klaipėda, Latvia)
1829-33: Cowes

General History:
17/12/1830:
During the tremendous gale on Sunday last, [...] The MARCHIONESS OF HUNTLEY, Burgess, from Newcastle, with coals, drove on the Sands near Seaton, and went to pieces; master and carpenter saved, seven men drowned.
(Durham County Advertiser)

25/12/1830:
TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION, On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the 28th, 29th, and 30th Days of Dec., 1830, at Cliff House, between Seaton and Hartlepool, in the County of Durham, The WHOLE of the MATERIALS of the Brig MARCHIONESS of HUNTLEY, 210 Tons Register, stranded at the above Place; consisting of good English Oak Timber and Plank, Masts. Yards, Rigging, &c.- Also, two Chain Cables, Anchors, a Quantity of Copper, and iron Bolts, iron Knees, two Ships' Boats, &c. The Sale to commence each Day at 10 o'clock in the Forenoon. W. & J. Smith, Auctioneers.
(Newcastle Courant)

Note: although the master does not line up with Lloyd's, the Aberdeen Marchioness is the only one of three in Lloyd's 1830 which was a brig, so the continuation to 1833 is likely Lloyd's underwriters failing to be updated (a common occurrence).
Note: tonnage changes from 208 to 238 in Lloyd's underwriters 1824 (M109)
