About MeRavilious' bowl, designed in 1937, was manufactured posthumously by Wedgwood following the end of World War Two. The bowl features various motifs, from a whale to a volcano. His work demonstrates a sense of nostalgia for times past. This is evident in his choice to include a biplane, when single winged aircraft were increasingly popular. His work could be an illustraton of a bygone age.
