About MeWoollen walking suit comprising circular cape with high collar, tight fitting waistcoat and flowing skirt. This very fetching walking suit, trimmed with an elaborate design in Russian braiding, dates from 1889 -1891. Heavy woollen cloth was a popular choice of fabric for ladies outdoor and walking clothes in the late 19th century. This ensemble would have been worn with a small hat, leather gloves and a fur muff. The wearer may also have carried either a walking stick or umbrella.
