About MeAfter the death of Queen Mary in 1694 King William continued to reign as William II in Scotland and William III in England. An act of the Scottish Parliament of 1686 decreed that 'two pence' (bodles) and 'sexpence' (bawbees) should be the only Scots copper, it further declared that no copper coins were to be struck 'without his majesties express warrand'.
