About MeCarte de visite of a seated man on a plush chair with tassels, a curtain is visible on the left hand side. His left arm is resting on the arm of the chair while his right is resting on his lap. He also has both legs crossed. His hair is styled with a parting down the left and he has a distinctive beard. He is wearing a dark jacket with matching waistocat and trousers. There is a pocket watch chain visible as well. The photographer's detail appear in full on the reverse side along with a crest.
