About MeThe ISS360 sonar and its related equipment mark a leap in miniaturisation and accuracy and viability for the subsea sector. It was first brought to market in 2020. This example is a pre-market model.

This technology is a plug and play guidance system and capable of retrofitting to any device. It is very accurate guidance system and is capable of directing to within 1mm over a distance of 90m even in turbid waters. This allows the autonomous or remotely guided submarines to undertake a much wider variety of tasks. It is also capable of operation at extreme depths. It is maintenance free so does not require the equipment to be laid up regularly to allow essential recalibration. However, the tech within it although designed for use in the offshore industries is already been adopted for use in a number of other situations.

It was designed, built and put on the market by a small team of specialist technical and software engineers at Impact Subsea Ltd based in Ellon, Aberdeenshire.
