About MeIn the late 19th and early 20th centuries little feet were squashed into a variety of leather shoe styles, unlike the comfy "padders" available today. Babies wore silk bootees, often embellished with elaborate embroidery or fur lined for warmth. The black patent pumps were purchased from John Dunn's of Aberdeen in the 1910s and worn to dancing by David Stewart (aged 11).
