About MeThose who have committed suicide turned into gnarled, thorny trees crying and lamenting. In the lower part prodigals are being pursued by mastiffs and torn by the thorns. Notice the links between this drawing and the previous one and look out for such links in other consecutive drawings e.g. Paradise X and XI, to come in the appearance of the thorns in XII and a brief reminder of the previous episode in the stream of blood at the top of XIII.
