Under Utility Scheme regulations non-essential, decorative pockets and pleats were banned on clothing during the war. Here a little more fabric has been allowed on this post-war tailored suit for the pleated pockets on the front of the jacket. As a result the suit was probably a little more expensive, but it was bought for a special occasion by the guest of a local wedding.
