About MeClare Waddle and David Robson are a two-person collaboration called 'Yellow Broom' based in the Highlands who create handcrafted utilitarian lighting.‘Semi-skimmed’ is a large overhead light made from strips of repurposed opaque white plastic milk bottles mounted on discarded welding rods. 36 milk bottles destined for landfill were collected from a local cafe and repurposed. The sides of four litre semi skimmed milk bottles were hand cut into strips using a large panini maker before being fused together.
Yellow Broom aim to create products with a zero-waste approach to production. They have introduced repurposed single use plastics into their current practice to help reduce waste, minimise landfill and mass processing.
