About MeTime recorder clock with 8 day dead-beat escapement previously used by James Scott & Son Builders, Aberdeen.

Wooden case with large glass window painted with "NATIONAL TIME RECORDER CO. LTD. / (PATENTEES)" in gold lettering. The clock face has numerals (1, 2, 3 etc) and "NATIONAL / TIME RECORDER COMPANY / ST. MARY GRAY / KENT" in the centre of the face. Midway down the body inside the case is a circular display currently showing "FRI / Aft." on a canvas reel.

Midway down the body inside the case is a plaque for "LOCAL SERVICE / YOUR NEAREST LOCAL DEPOT FOR SERVICE / RIBBONS AND SUPPLIES FOR THIS MACHINE IS / THE NATIONAL TIME RECORDER Co. Ltd. / 74 YORK ST / GLASGOW, C.2."

The bottom section has cast metal components, including levers and switches and an opening for inserting a time card.
