About MeA continental imitation of a King Edward I silver penny belonging to Aberdeen's St Nicholas Street hoard. Found in 1984, this hoard comprises 2538 coins, including coins from England, Scotland, Ireland and the continent, as well as 54 imitation coins.

Obverse: Forward facing crowned head with broad, curling hair framed with text inscription.
Reverse: Centrally placed long cross with three pellets in each corner and text ringing the outer edge.
Manufacture Method: Hammered
Condition: The coin is in OK condition, but has been heavily clipped and has an unusual patina on both sides. The reverse has clear central details and legible text, despite clipping. The obverse has a lightly smoothed king portrait and legible text, bar some loss from clipping. The obverse has an indent from the cross on the reverse side.
