About MeThis painting is surely of the North East Coastline as it was painted in 1909 when James McBey was based in Aberdeen. McBey has faithfully depicted the rugged line of the cliffs and has used thick darting brushstrokes to emphasis the movement of the water below. Seagulls glide above the cliffs their white bodies contrasting with the ominous black clouds above.Keith Henderson
