About MeThis swimming costume is very different from the rather skimpy swimwear worn today. During the Victorian period swimming gained popularity as it was thought to keep the body healthy. Queen Victoria herself was a great advocate of the activity and encouraged her children to take part also. This swimming costume is quite similar to those worn by men during the Victorian period through to the early 20th century.More About Me
This swimming suit is a lot more modest than those worn by men today. How do you think swimmers from a century ago would react to modern styles of swimwear?
